So here we are a day later than usual. Don’t worry, day 10 will be written. But I worked a bit of a longer shift yesterday and realized after I sat down that there was no energy left in my entire being to pick up the computer and type up another post. So I didn’t.
I felt badly about it to be honest but sometimes we have those days where we come home from work, expecting to get things done and they just don’t work out.
No matter though. My point for today was going to be “don’t let anything get in the way of your goals” but that seems a little hypocritical of me. Which is why we are doing it anyways.
When you set goals for yourself, it’s important to follow them through. It makes you feel good about yourself and it makes the next day feel like a fresh start. But sometimes the unexpected happens. Don’t worry. I know it feels like you should do whatever it takes up get things done in life, but remember, it’s okay to take a break. It’s okay to sit and do nothing. It’s okay to plan ahead and push those plans just a little farther ahead.
You have you do what is best for you in the moment. And in the moment, maybe you don’t want to do anything. Don’t put yourself down for it. It happens to the best of us. Just remember to do it when you feel like your old self again.
The other good part about holding off is that when you feel better, you will accomplish more. And you will do it all to the best of your abilities. So don’t do it all the time, but try saying “I’m tired” one day, then take it on again tomorrow! 🙂
